The most common reason for measuring a trampoline is for ordering replacement parts and accessories such as a safety net, springs, or padding.
By knowing the size of your trampoline, you can rest assured that you’re buying the correct accessories.
You may also want to sell your old trampoline, and need to know the size so you can inform potential buyers.
Whatever your reason, here’s all you need to know about measuring your trampoline:
How do I measure the size of my trampoline?
To determine the size of your trampoline, measure the frame from one side to the other. This is known as its diameter.
To get a reliable measurement, use a tape measure and measure across the centre of the trampoline.
You may want to do this a few times to ensure you’re getting the same measurement.
Remember that the trampoline size includes both the jumping surface and the springs/safety mats.
Here’s a video that walks you through the process:

How to measure trampoline spring size
If you’re ordering replacement parts, you may also have to measure the spring length.
First, remove a spring from the trampoline, as measuring while it is attached and slightly stretched may provide an inaccurate measurement.
Next, use a tape measure to measure from one end of the spring to the other.

How do I measure my yard for a trampoline?
Springfree recommends that people aim for a clearance space of 1.5m on all sides of the trampoline.
Therefore, for a round, 10 foot (3 metre) trampoline, you’d want a space that is 6m long and 6m wide.

What is a good size trampoline for doing flips?
You can do flips on a smaller trampoline, but a bigger one is better both in terms of safety and also the space available to try different tricks.
12 feet trampolines are popular but if the main purpose is for flips and tricks we recommend going with 14 feet or bigger, especially for older jumpers.
What is the standard size trampoline?
10ft trampolines are considered small/medium and 12ft trampolines are considered medium/large. These are some of the most common sizes of trampolines.
These sizes would suit small families without taking up too much space in your backyard.
How tall should a trampoline net be?
Trampoline nets are measured from the frame to the top of the net.
The net height for popular brands Springfree and Vuly are 1.8m and 1.75m respectively; although some models can be up to 2m in height.
